81. ALL NITE @ SILOSO

Another year has passed.

The things we leave behind; the sadness, the tears, the sorrow, the gloom, the grief, the blues, the doldrums, the oppression, the agony, the pain..

The moments we cherish; the joy, the laughter, the smiles, the humour, the enjoyment, the optimism, the blessedness, the bliss, the contentedness, the rapture, the pleasure..

Happy 2008!
:)

Sue Lin, Cherina, Larry, and I went down to Singapore to celebrate the eve of 2008 with Lemon. Tagged along with Rin's dad's drive there on the 30th, where he dropped us off at Toa Payoh at mid afternoon. Lugging our bags around the busy street, off the 4 of us went in search of the closest MRT station. My first time on Singapore's MRT! Hehe!

Alighted at Bugis, where our lodging is at and where we were supposed to meet Lemon. Our meeting point - McDonalds. It's such a good landmark! Only bad thing was...we were waiting at different branches. Bugis Junction, Bugis Village.. What the heck right? LOL.. Oh and while waiting, I saw Jason and Doreen! What a small world Singapore.. Oh right....
xD

Anyway, eventually met up with Lemon and checked-in to the backpackers' hostel. Aha, yeah we stayed at a budget hostel!! Was hella fun, it's the company that counts! Spent the rest of the day/night at Orchard. No big hoo-ha, just regretted that I didn't buy a somewhat mischievous shirt from New Urban Male. Expensive larr..

Malaysia advertising our year end sale right on Orchard Road! Hahah!

Day 2, jalan-jalan at Marina Bay (MRT again.. Woohoo! Gotta love those trains. Hehe) where one of the Merlion is at. Chilled out for hours at Starbucks under the bridge. Oh I love the Singapore weather! Cool and breezy..

We asked some dungu to take a pic for us and he completely missed out the Merlion *slaps forehead*! Lemon, KL, Rin, Lin, Vin and the Merlion platform on the far right... Brr......

The giant silver durian!

Then we went over to Pasir Ris where we rented some bikes at the park by the beach. The park's huge and it's just awesome that they have proper pedestrian and cycling paths. We got lost, turned into different and wrong paths, and got split up. Rin and I high-speeded straight into a mangrove path, while Lin, who was literally stuck with KL on a tandem, hanged a right with Lemon tailing behind them. After like 15 mins, we bumped into the tandem bikers (Haha!) but they lost Lemon.. WTH!

Slin and I at Pasir Ris! Dirty water compared to the beaches in Oz. Heh..
:P

Night came and off we went to the Siloso Beach Party! Reached there with only minutes to spare before the new year. We were laughing, "clinking" our plastic cups of beer to our resolutions when all of a sudden, 10 minutes to midnight.. the pyrotechnics started.

Fiuuuung.. Ke-blooom~
I'm actually quite surprised I managed to take such a nice pic of the fireworks.
Heh! PRO-ness!!

It lasted for no more than 5 minutes, I swear! Lin and I were saying that it was probably just a teaser, and there would be more to come momentarily. Midnight came and went, no countdown! Hahaha. Some joke! And from midnight to 2am, they had this jazz funk band from the UK who pride themselves upon the name Incognito, who successfully bored the entire crowd. Was jumpin' with joy when they stepped off the stage! Heheh. We left at about 5am and caught the first bus at 6am in the station. Got on, fell asleep, and missed our stop. In fact, we missed ALL the stops. Next thing I know (1 and a half hours later), Lemon was nudging me to wake me up. We were at the last stop! Friggin' hilarious! Ended up taking the MRT (...Yay!) back to Bugis.

Siloso beach party. Foam pouring down. Wet wet wet. Ahh, we still have our tops on! Haha. Lin, KL and I stripped while dancing. SexaY!

Think this was taken while Incognito was still on stage. Explains the 'please-kill-me-now' look on Lemon's face. Poor thing... *pat pat*

Yup.. A NYE well spent! Heaps of fun, but was dead tired the next day during the drive home (or were we? ... playing prank sms and all. Heh) Oh, and look what we found.. Something which seems to be now extinct in Malaysia....

80. ALL I HAVE TO DO IS DREAM

I can make you mine, taste your lips of wine,
Anytime night or day;

Only trouble is, gee-whiz,

I'm dreamin' my life away.

I need you so, that I could die I love you so,

And that is why whenever I want you,

All I have to do is dream

Dream dream dream

Dream...

~

When love turns to anger..

Things get ugly.

Like .. very ugly.

But then there's this light in us, called Hope. However strong the storm is, Hope is never nullified. Hope makes us anticipate for things to change, for things to get better, for things to work out the way we want them to.

Hope is strong. Hope is true. Hope is always there. Hope may be lost, but only so new Hopes could be innovated. Hope prevails. Hope may be all that we can do.

But what if .... Hope is not the answer?
Then, is all Hope lost?

If it is, then I guess we'll have to dream.......

79. LITTLE BIT OF LOVE

This is the way you left me; I'm not pretending.
No hope, no love, no glory; No happy ending..
This is the way that we love, like it's forever.

Then live the rest of our life, but not together ...

---

How can some people live to be so blind, so selfish, so cold, so cruel, so impassive, so unemotional, so heartless..? How?
*sigh* Just a thought. Ignore.

I have finally found my perfect remedy for acne! I've tried enough; from Clearasil to Clinique, from leaving them alone to pinching them *ouch*, from benzoyl peroxide to aspirin, from tea tree oil to pimple creams.. yet I still have occasional outbreaks, especially on the region between my eyes, upper lip area, and temples. And I have always had small little bumps on my cheeks; not too visible from a distance or under warm-lighting, but they're there. My trick? Simple, just soap and water. I made a thick and goo-ey mixture by pouring hot water over half a bar of soap in a container and left it overnight. Then I applied the mixture and let it dry~ Wash off gently. Be extra careful when applying and washing off around the eyes. Lotsa soap .. So yes, it WILL sting. Don't do it too often though as it may over-dry the skin and cause it to peel. I wouldn't recommend anything more than twice a day.

(Disclaimer: Skin types and skin sensitivity in each person varies, so everyone has an acne treatment method which works best for them. This one worked wonders for me, and I hope it does for you too; but I shall not be held responsible for any damages, further outbreaks, or disappointments through this method.)

Been doing heaps of shopping last week! Mom bought me 2 tees and 2 bermuda shorts from P. Authentics. I like P. Authentics' tees; they're cheap, plain and nice! Love 'em so much I bought another 12 of them while out shopping by myself. No joke! I have like a collection now. Haha.

Then mom bought me a charcoal striped sweater and 2 collared tees from Marks & Spencer. I like how the collars of the tees are in white! Looks very schoolboy-ish. I also bought a formal shirt and a pair of pants from Seed; adore them both, but the pants make my legs look so thin and long. Hahah~ Showed it to mom and she said I've got the Lim genes! Hah~!!

Out shopping with mom again before Christmas and she bought me another formal shirt and a plain tee from Marks & Spencer. (Gosh, shopping with mom is so fun! LOL!) The cuffs of the shirt is so smartly designed. It's something like a French cuff, but it has buttons as well! So I can either use the buttons or use cuff-links with them. So cool! Though I doubt I'll be using those grubby-looking cuff-links anyhoos. Ehe..

Now all I need is a new pair of jeans, a pair of slacks, and hopefully a couple more pair of shorts. Ehe! Ohmigosh, I've used so much money already! But shopping is good therapy! Hahah!

---

Oh today's Christmas! A very Merry Christmas to all! Gonna meet up with OJA at 1U later in the evening for dinner. Ughh, 1U...again! I've been going there everyday for the last 2 weeks; Seriously! Haven't been to MidValley yet; and what's this new place, Pavillion is it? Don't even know where's that.. Someone please bring me there?! Before Dec 30! Coz I'll be going to Singapore on Dec 30 - Jan 1, and by the time I get back the sale will be over. Boohoo!!

Ooh yes, I'm going to SG with Lin, Rin, and Keh Liang this Sunday. Celebrating the eve of 2008 there with Lemon. We're going to this Siloso beach party thingy in Sentosa! Oh-whee!

78. LAST CHRISTMAS

Last Christmas I gave you my heart, but the very next day you gave it away. This year to save me from tears, I'll give it to someone special...

Yeah right! Wasn't that person "someone special" before he/she gave it away? Stupid..

---

Was still half asleep yesterday morning as I inched myself towards my laptop. Checked my inbox and saw an email from Carey from admin. My pulse hastened..

Exam results are out.

I cleared Part I..
(Joy!)

I now have to make a final decision on my majors. I only have 3 options for doing a double-major.

1. Biological Science + Molecular Biology
2. Biological Science + Environmental Science
3. Molecular Biology + Biomedical Science

Decisions decisions ......

Gosh, and I have to decide by Friday! Eeps..
I'm getting dizzy; It's such a big decision ..

Eenie mini myni mo!

77. AM I THAT EASY TO FORGET?

Malaysians... Loud, rough, rowdy, and aggressive. But then again, I shouldn't be stereotyping. I can't deny that there is also a fair amount of friendly, polite and courteous Malaysians out there. As for myself, I will say that I fall between the 2 categories mentioned, slightly more inclined towards the latter; Heh!

More than a week has passed since my return from Perth. Haven't done much; caught up with a few friends, and spent most of the rest of the time at home entertaining and being entertained by Kate Lynn. She's such a darling, especially when she flashes you that wide smile. Can die. And when she's not smiling, she has this blur look which is just so darn cute!

Anyway, I've been having a few deep thoughts lately. Have you ever (or do you currently) love someone so much that he/she is the first person that comes to your mind the moment you awake from your deep slumber every morning, and the last person you think of before you fall asleep every night? And throughout the day, you can't stop thinking about that person and wonder what he/she is doing at this very moment. The only time your mind is not shackled to this person is when you're asleep, which is not every night either since you do dream about him/her quite often. It's haunting, it's probably even an obsession. Now, tell me how eff-ed up you would be when you find out that your feelings for this person are not mutual.

... It's ugly. You feel like it's the end of the world and there's nothing else to live for, but then there's this light in you which tells you to move on and forget about the past. Tough.. Forgetting someone you love is like trying to remember someone you never met..
