59. WHEN SHE LOVED ME

It's scary how time flies. This coming week will be the last schooling week for this semester; then it's a week's study break, then exams stretching on for 2, and I'll be home after! Which reminds me, I have an online assignment due at midnight later.. We have one due every fortnight, and I totally forgot about the one 2 weeks ago. And each of those assignments contribute 3% to the final assessment. 3%!! How? Lucky for me, around 2 months ago, after a really good chem lecturer finished her section, I emailed her to thank her and gave her positive feedback to her lectures. So as I was worrying about my lost 3%, I remembered that she was also the person-in-charge of the online assignments! Emailed her and after much consideration, she allowed me to attempt the questions and have them graded! Oooohhhh~ I felt so relieved.. A bit unfair to the others, but ahh~ I don't care, as long as I'm on the winning end.

xD

I watched 'The Piano' last weekend. It was so-so. Half of the time, I didn't know what was happening. I didn't understand why did Ada suddenly fall in love with the perverted guy who has been sexually harassing and molesting her as she played the piano. And why did her husband chop her finger off? And why did she throw her piano into the sea? Aiyaaa.. Confusing!! The piano solos were good though. There's this really dreamy one called 'The Heart Asks Pleasure First'. Nice. I have the piano scores, and it looks really difficult!

And last night, I watched Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl! I haven't watched it before, but I have watched Dead Man's Chest when it was on the silver screens. Note to self: Always watch movie sequels in order! Now I know who's that pirate eating a green apple in the witch doctor's house at the end Dead Man's Chest; it's Captain BARBOSSA!! (He didn't die!) I think that the first Pirates was nicer than it's sequel. It finished very clean and gave a sense of "The End"; I wouldn't expect a sequel if I watched that in 2003. But Dead Man's Chest wasn't all that bad either, its ending was rather kan-chiong, and I'm now dying to know how Captain Jack Sparrow survives the Kraken, and how Captain Barbossa is going to help them, and why? (They were all pretty mean to him back in the Curse of the Black Pearl) I have to give 2 thumbs up to the soundtracks!! They're so "!!!!!!!!". Arghh~ I'm addicted to Pirates!

For the first time in more than 3 months, I went jogging today! Was telling Ernest how bored I am here; always either staring at the computer screen, or the books. I laughed when he suggested that I go jogging.. But I was really bored just now. OMG, I hate jogging, at least in this country. I used to jog quite often back at home anyway. When I exercise, I expect to be very sweaty and sticky. Wait... lemme rephrase that... When I exercise, I WANT to be VERY sweaty and sticky!! It's one of the perks of exercising! But it's so cold and dry here, I didn't even feel a drip of sweat! After my 30 minutes, even my armpits were still smooth and dry. Gahhh!! And the people here are weird; as though they haven't seen anyone jogging before. People were laughing, staring and honking as though I was jogging naked.. Kids on skateboards and bicycles were snickering, one even shouted "Run faster!!!".. WTH? No wonder they're all eligible contestants of The Biggest Loser!! Bwahahahhahhaa!!~ Dummies....

But seriously, it felt very strange to not sweat. I mean, of course I was sweating, just that it evaporates so fast I can't even feel it. I don't like that. And naturally, my stamina was kanasai; was panting like a dog breathing through the pores of croc shoes. And for some reason, I felt very weak and dizzy after running for the first 7 or 8 minutes. It didn't feel like the works of lethargy. I'm assuming that it's the lack of energy, as I've been too lazy to cook proper meals this week. One night, I had Doritos for dinner and got told off by Johnny after that. Yea yeah.. I'll start mass producing; then I can have microwave meals for at least the next few days. Haha. "Did you think I'd crumble, did you think I'd lay down and die? Oh no not I, I will survive!"

Finally met up with AirPork yesterday. I think he's not as .. piggish in size anymore lor! Also met his infamous Hongkie friend Edmund, and 2 other Singaporeans (Alvin and Ken, I think?). They're a bunch of crazily hilarious pilots; looking for cha bors wherever they go, and always picking on Edmund. Brought them to the Asian store where they thought was a gold mine, then we went to King's Park to see see. AirPork said that he'll be coming over again next weekend to make lasagna!!! Wohhh~ He's so much better at cooking than I am! Yey yey.. Lasagna next weekend! Yippy!

Oh.. Since my last entry was just a day before Mother's Day. Happy Mother's Day MOMMY! Heehee. And since so many bloggers have made dedications to their mothers on their blogs, I'll just ditto. Just a short one though, because as you all know, I'm a man of few words.
xD

Mom, this is for you!
They say that in a year, everyone has a special day; that would be their birthday. But mommy.. you have 2! (readers, please save me your insight about Father's Day.. I'm talking about Mother's Day here okay...) Yes as I was saying.... Oh great, I lost my train of thought! Wehhh... I want my mommy!!!!! Ahh yes, mommy! Although we grew apart when I came out of you on 17th September 1987, the gap between us is non-existent. For the past 19 years, you've not only been my mom, you were my best friend! And what are friends without the occasional fights? Haw haw.. But on February this year, my chance to pursue higher education finally pried us apart. From when we were never apart for more than a week, to being in entirely different continents for 4 months! That's a drastic change! A lot has happened and changed during this time, but fear not, for my unfailing love for you prevails!

To bloggers who wrote beautifully touching things about, and for, their moms on blogs; the best gift would be to give your mom your blog's URL! Okay, to those who haven't pengsan-ed, read on! Though some may beg to differ, our mothers play a highly important role in our lives, and while we were approaching the very core of our teenage years, we started to give more importance to our peer groups and less to our parents. Here's your chance to let your mom be a part of your life again, to let her feel that she's privileged to read your blog!

Mommy, I really don't know what to get you on special occasions anymore. You already have the bestest gift of all: ME!!
