66. SANDBOX

"I believe that everyone should learn to appreciate classical music"

The first study break has come and gone, oh so quick. One week isn't much, but thank goodness for that! I was beginning to emo from being alone. Nice we had 2 study groups during the span. Well, 1 actually; Since we spent most of the first one eating pretzels and walking clueless in the library searching for the required references. I like it that we're allowed to openly snack in the library. It's like they even encourage it with vending machines in the library itself, and a nice cafe in the library's courtyard. So it's not particularly unusual to be positively engrossed with a vertebrate physiology textbook and have a sudden whiff of that aromatic cup of latte! Mmm.... ~

Went to Ikea yesterday to buy a book shelving unit. Ikea is located in Osborne Park, which is like on the other side of Perth from where I am. So far, so far .. Say it together with me now, ee-kay-uh! Don't argue. That's the correct way to pronounce it, so trash away your eye-kay-uh pronunciation. Peh... It's cool now that I have proper shelves to stack my stuff, but more shelves = increased surface area, which simply means more surfaces for dust to collect and more cleaning for me to do! *shucks* And what's Ikea without their famed Swedish meatballs swimming in gravy, served with lingonberry jam? Ooo.. They sell the frozen ones by the kilo here. I saw them and my mouth watered, so I grabbed a bag! Whee hee!

Oh oh, my birthday's coming! It's the first time I'm celebrating it away from home ... alone. *emo* Mom said that this year my birthday will be 'colder than water'. *emo* So, instead of emo-ing alone on that day, I'm gonna go shopping and maybe emo with my birthday present from me to me! xD

Muahahahhahaa! Muka tembok. I haven't thought of what to buy myself yet though. I have to decide from my long list of 'I wants'. Shortlisting in progress. Among them is an underwater camera! It was a pity that I didn't have one during our Perhentian trip. Hence why I didn't have even a single picture of the astonishing corals to show-off to my environmental biology class. Darn!! Next on the list is a digital piano! No, not a keyboard, and yes, there is a difference! D-oh! Highly unlikely though since it costs like two to three grands and I doubt I'll spend much time playing it when assignments start pouring in. Still, it's a nice 'want'. Okay, I shall not bore you with the rest. I'll just keep them to myself and let you know what I'm getting in the end. ~

Ehe.. Back to fat busting. It's hard... The temptation of food is too strong! 'Specially carbohydrates; Mmm.... Trying not to include them in dinners though. And I read somewhere that as part of a healthy dinner, the amount of protein consumed shouldn't be more than the size of your palm, and no thicker than your fingers. Crap crap crap! I've been eating lambchops the size of both my feet before I read that! *okay lah, that's a bit too kwa-chiong* Lettuce has been my bestie lately. I love them with instant noodles! Crunchy munchies ~ A must for sandwiches as well. Ooh, sandwiches.. I'm gonna start bringing pack lunches instead of buying from the refectory. Save money~ and I'll know that my ingredients are fresh and I can even count the calories! Oh god, I'm beginning to sound like a health freak. Haaa.... But yes, still gotta work on that tummy blanket. Eww.. Go away you evil blob!! ~ I have like a good inch to burn off. Uhhhh.. It's taking forever! Gyobuuuuu~~~!

I should really start getting some pics up here huh.. *looks around* All I see now are words. *whistles*... I shall bring my camera to classes this week and introduce some of my classmates to the blog. Ehe. But before that, here's another recent pic of Kate!
